Roo Welcomes You...

..to her brand new digs!

She's actually at the back door by the porch, but she is happy to show off the new place nonetheless.

I've been missing from Blogland for ages, I know, but a million things had gotten in the way and blogging just ended up falling by the wayside for awhile. Hopefully that will change... I always say that, but I really hope that I can stick to a plan of blogging more regularly for a while. I sometimes feel silly writing stuff about myself and my life, but I know how much I enjoy reading other people's art blogs and seeing how they exercise their creative muscles, so I want to contribute to the online fun, if even just a little bit. My favorite thing about other blogs are the pictures of artworks in progress and completed, so I hope to be sharing a lot more of those types of photos too. I'm in the process of setting up my brand new studio space at the new place, so I'm excited to get back into screenprinting and painting very soon... In the meantime, I've been doing lots of drawing , dyeing wool, and spinning handspun yarn from wool, alpaca, and all sorts of other wonderful fibery sources.

I just got back from the Knitter's Connection conference in Columbus, OH where I learned a lot of great new techniques and got to meet my wonderful blog/Etsy friend Megan from MooganCreations in real life! We've talked on the phone a few times but had never met in person, and she was so, SO much fun to hang out with. I loved the city of Columbus, too - there was so much great art there and lots of things to see and do. I hope to go back and visit again soon!

My goals for the rest of the week are to finish all the rest of the unpacking and to post some new things that I worked on for Etsy before I moved. I have a whole heap of stuff to post, but taking photos and posting descriptions are two things I have always loved to procrastinate on... We'll see how it goes!
